Abené Clayton is a San Francisco Bay Area-based, reporter and video producer. She graduated from the Berkeley Graduate school of journalism in May 2019, where she produced two news magazine-length videos the first, focused on disparities among Bay Area kidney patients, the other looked at crime survivors in Richmond, California. She is currently a part of The Guardian newspaper's "Guns & Lies" series, and specializes in covering community-based gun violence and California's criminal legal system.
